Obama, You Tube, Technology & Change

Posted in thoughts by brandonirby on November 14, 2008

In case you haven’t heard, Obama is recreating the Fireside Chat by means of You Tube.

To me, this is brilliant as was his campaign which was driven quite artistically and appropriately for today’s media saturated culture. The change I’m encouraged by is not the change of which Obama speaks. However it is the change that is taking place among the great divide of creativity, technology & culture.

Advances such as You Tube have paved the way for much leverage on many levels.
The more grass roots the internet becomes, the more excitement rushes through my veins particularly in light of projects such as this.

As time moves on it is my hope to blog about media & it’s possibilities for leverage.

home to me will always be Oklahoma. I’m oddly proud of that place. And in many ways Portugal feels very much like home. I would definitely say part of my heart resides in both places. Honestly, I don’t know yet if Tucson is “home”. Shrug. Possibly over time.

Ps. I didn’t know you were the golfing type. As they say, you learn new things everyday…

as you already know…. i love fireside chats. Obama is culturally relevant. You have to wonder if that’s just him, or if he has a sweet PR guy.
